I started blogging in August 2008 after the wonderful friends I met at SCBWI Nationals in LA invited me into the blogging world. Thanks, RockSugarBeets:)

Today, after many people told me to start 'tweeting', I joined Twitter. I have no idea what to do with it but I seem to be attracting followers so I better figure it out soon.

If anyone wants to find me on Twitter I am here:

Oh, and if anyone wants to educate not only me but also my blog readers about Twitter, please leave a comment. Plus, if you are on Twitter, leave your link.

Happy Tweeting!

  1. Wow. You went to LA this past summer? I went too. Awesome conference wasn't it? I'm still new to blogging but need to check out what all this twitter business is about.

  2. I think I'd really like Twitter, But I so don't need another tool for procrastination! :0)

  3. I feel responsible. Blogging was like your gateway drug to the world of electronic/internet addiction.

I could never Twitter. Isn't there a word limit?!

  4. Jacqui--HA! As anyone who has ever read my blog could tell you, that would also be major problem for me. Besides, doesn't it take just a smidgen (sarcasm) of arrogance to think that other people are that interested in what you are thinking on that frequent of a basis?

(Not that I'm against arrogance. I'm just against being so obvious about it.)

  5. The word count is poetic but I agree with Paul, who the heck cares what I do from minute to minute. Hmmm, I'll have to read other people's tweets to see what they write about.

  6. Interesting, Jill. I don't know much about it except what I've learned here. I wonder what the big deal is with it. How is success defined on Twitter? Keep us posted! Please!

  7. I agree with Kelly and Jacqui, but I took the bait anyway. Listened to a Jane Friedman webinar on getting published and what agents and editors want. The conclusion: internet visibility! I twitter now too, Jill. I think over time we'll all find out who we want to tweet to/with or not! Like being thrown in the pond and groping. I do love your blog, though, I must say.
I'm finding some good friends a little bit here and one would ever want to follow the crazy comings and goings of my life. It can all be a bit self-serving...and maybe not arrogant, but more like that egotistical teenager I grew out of so long ago...and I might add---very happily!
    Here's my twitter site:

  8. Out of all of these "social network" things out there, I've found Twitter the most useful. You post what you would like to share (it doesn't have to be all about you -- some people I follow mostly post links they found interesting), and I found all sorts of people during NaNoWriMo that I now follow regularly (as they do me). We all seem to amuse and teach each other quite well. Sometimes we post something of use, and sometimes we just post, but it all seems to be good.
